The student council of Milan High School coordinated a wonderful event coming up. The students at Milan High School are all invited to the homecoming dance this Saturday, September 25th. It will be held at Milan Highschool. The address is 200 Big Red Dr, Milan, MI, 48160. Milan High School is having a homecoming because it’s a high school tradition. The theme for the dance is Fairy Tale Enchanted Forest. Tickets are being sold at the students' lunches. The tickets are 15 dollars.
When the students arrive at the school they can park by the Greenhouse. They will then come in and turn in their ticket. The dance will be held inside the MCIS and outside. Masks are required inside but can be taken off outside. There will be yard games. In the school, there will be a DJ for music and dancing. There will also be food and drinks. Lastly, the dress code is semi-formal. Girls can wear dresses and boys can wear pants, a shirt, and a tie. I asked my friend Aubrey about how she feels about homecoming this year. She says, “I am pumped for this year's homecoming dance. I was super upset we couldn’t have a homecoming for my junior year. My friends and I are all getting together before homecoming. We are going to have a fancy dinner and dessert. Then after homecoming, we are going to my other friend's house to hang out and enjoy the rest of the night. We are going all out this year to celebrate having a somewhat normal school year and dance.” I also interviewed my friend Tavo about how he feels about homecoming. He says, “I’m excited about homecoming because it is going to make up for last year. I hope it is fun. I feel like some things at the dance will be restricted because of COVID. This is our first school dance with COVID. I guess we'll see what happens.” Overall, I think many students are happy to have a homecoming dance this year.
