After a year of no theatre productions at Milan high school, there will finally be a fall show. The Milan Theatre department is currently working on producing the high school edition of Clue: On Stage. The current director of this show is former Milan High school student Dennis Glass, helping direct is another former student Abby Penhallegon, The current fall show is the on-stage version of the board game clue, it’s also quite similar to the movie released in 1985. Because it’s the high school edition of the show, some of the more scandalous lines were removed. Opening night is Thursday, 18th of November at Milan High School. There will be another show the following Friday night, and two shows on that Saturday. The makeup and costumes for this show will portray the main characters as pieces from a board game. This opportunity is really exciting for students since there were no shows in 2020-2021. Because of Covid, there will be assigned understudies to all cast members in the show, just in case, there is an outbreak of Covid. During their time off the students missed being a part of their theatre family. Theatre is such an important part of our time at high school. The bonds we create are very important. Our director worked really hard on finding the perfect placements for each cast member. He revised the cast list five times trying to find the perfect roles for each member. The cast list was posted Sunday evening. Practices will be held Monday through Friday from 3:30- 6 pm. The crew has already started working hard on the set. There is set building every day from 2:30-5:30. We are currently very focused on marketing and advertising trying to make sure we fill lots of seats in our very large theatre.
