After a 9 and 1 season, Milan was elected to go to the playoffs. In the first round they faced New Boston Huron, coming from the same league as Milan, they had faced before. After a hard-fought game, Milan came out victorious for the second time against New Boston.
In the next round, they would face the victor of Chelsea vs Summit Academy. Chelsea won swiftly continuing their undefeated season. According to many news sources, Chelsea is predicted to win the state title in an undefeated season. Milan would have to face their hardest opponent yet.
Head coach of Milan, Jesse Hoskins said “ We will have to play our best season yet”. Led by quarterback Cole Mclevany the Milan Big reds would go into the house of the Bulldogs and play their hardest game yet.
According to Cole Mclevany, “ I think we have a good chance of winning, but we are going to have to give our all 100% of the time.” Friday night football was here and the Big Reds took the thirty-minute bus ride to Chelsea. The game had started and Milan had the ball first. Milan's rushing offense was stopped by Chelsea's league defense causing a fumble. Throughout the entire game, it was a constant battle. Unfortunately, Milans season came to an end with Chelsea winning.
At the end of the game, players shook hands, tears were shed, and the Milan Big Reds 2021 football season came to an end.
