Milan's volleyball student section is starting to get noticed.

6 students from Milan Highschool have started attending every volleyball game being the student section, and it has only gotten bigger since the beginning. (Tim Stapleton, Ryder Know, Trent Spradlin, Zach Spradlin, and Jett Issacs, Tim Pietryka). The group of boys made their way to Dundee for one of Milan's first games; it's there when the famous “YES” chant took off. The “YES” chant started when Milan Tim Pietryka brought his wrestling belt and started the chant which is originally from wrestling. Now the student section has almost doubled in size over the course of 4 games. Mack Foster who's one of the 5 that have recently joined the section has stated “ I was at the mall yesterday and this lady came up to me and asked if I was from Milan's student section. I never realized how much recognition I could get from that. It's kinda dope”. n's latest game was yesterday against Monroe Jefferson. Beating them has bumped them up to a 5-1 record while being 4-1 in the Huron League. The student section has only been getting bigger and louder and students don't plan on stopping it any time soon. Milan’s Aubrey Bukosk

y says “It’s really cool to see how involved the students are at the girl's volleyball games. We usually only see students at the football and basketball games but this year they have taken school spirit to a new level.” “They are cold and they always bring their A-game” are words from Milan's quarterback Cole McElvany. One of

Milan's star player Lauryn Obey Is also part of the football team being of the kickers. Milan's AD Mr. Hull has posted on Milan's Instagram about the student section multiple times. Even parents of Milan players have posted groups of kids on Facebook. When asked about why they show up to almost every game Milans Trent Spradlin says, “we just want to show our support for the team even if they win or lose. It's fun cheering for a team, we don't plan on stopping anytime soon”. Everyone has heard of a student section during home games but having the away games and still being able to win games is just something else completely. Milan will be playing Jefferson Airport in their next match-up. I can only imagine what the student section will bring this time around.
