Students are getting more involved in attending Milan volleyball games. The students from Milan High School that attend the games are mainly seniors, freshman, parents, and the remainder of the volleyball team. The Volleyball games are on Mondays and Wednesdays. The freshmen volleyball games start at 4:00 pm. The junior varsity volleyball games start at 5:30 pm. While varsity volleyball games start at 7:00 pm. The home games take place at Milan High School and the away games depend on the school they will play. Students want to show their support for their school, have fun, and show spirit.
The Milan seniors go to the away games as well. With the Varsity overall record right now being 5-1, one of those wins was on the road against Flatrock. The game was leaning towards Flatrock when they won the first two sets. Then the Milan student section showed up at the start of the third, they started cheering their team on tremendously. The atmosphere flipped instantly like a switch. The Volleyball team won the next set making it 2-1. The fourth set came and they won again. Before everyone knew it they won. The students made the atmosphere so electric, the volleyball players went on to win the match 3-2.
The Milan Varsity schedule is filled with excitement. With 6 games already completed there are 8 remaining. Monday, September 27th is away against Huron High School. Wednesday, September 29th is home against Riverview. Monday, October 4th is home against Airport. Monday, October 11th is home, Huron League Tournament quarterfinals. Wednesday, October 13th is home, Huron League Tournament second round. Saturday, October 16th is away at Skyline. Wednesday, October 20th is home, Huron League Tournament Finals. Monday, October 25th is away at Fowlerville. And the final on Thursday, October 28th is home against Bath.
