This time of year is the time for giving back to others and spreading joy. This year the FFA is putting together a donation for people in need. This donation is run by the FFA members and Josephine Forbush the zoology, botany, and natural resources teacher. They are not doing this to receive anything back but to help others in a time of need. This November there will be a winter clothing drive in Milan High School. This will be a competition between grades to see who can donate the most. This is taking place November 15th through the 30th. There will be 4 boxes in the athletic rotunda and 4 boxes in the academic rotunda. Each box will have a grade on them freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, and each grade will have two boxes. You can donate several different items. Before donation make sure your clothes are either gently used or brand new because these will be going to people in need. You can donate winter coats, jackets, hats, boots, long johns, ear warmers, gloves, mittens, snow pants, socks, sweatshirts, etc. All donations will be given to Aid In Milan or Big Red Closet to be passed out to those in need. This is not the first time Milan High School has done anything like this. Previously there has been a can and boxed food drive, dress donations, and other clothing drives. Those have been extremely successful and have helped many many people. This is time for every student in Milan High School to come together and give back to the community. Do you have anything you do not need or use? Perfect! Donate them to the clothing drive. Make sure you are donating anything you can to help bring your grade to victory and help bring warmth to others during the holiday season!
